Baptism and Birthday Celebration

What a celebration it was!! We were so excited to finally have the girls baptized once we found a church we felt comfortable in. So, on October 16th, we not only celebrated the girls' first birthdays, but we also baptized them. We now attend Watertown United Methodist Church, and we absolutely love it there! They gave such a beautiful service and we are so grateful to Pastor Paul welcoming us into their church with open arms. We are truly honored that Steph and Michael have both agreed to be Samantha and Rylee's Godparents. Both of them mean the world to us, and we are so lucky to have them not only in our lives but in the girls' lives as well. Afterward, we all headed to the Grand Oak Villa to celebrate with Samantha and Rylee for their 1st birthdays and baptism! I cannot believe they are a year old. We enjoyed a delicious brunch, some yummy cake, and some quality time with our family and close friends. My brother did a great job taking pictures for me. I thought I would share a few of my favorites with everyone :)

Apple Picking

We met up with some families from the MOM's (Mothers of Multiples) group that I participate with. It's great to get together with other families who are parents of multiples, whether they just have multiples or have multiples and a singleton (like we do). They really get to fully understand how busy life is (not that other families who don't have multiples aren't busy) it's just that our busy is a different busy I guess. So, it's nice being able to share our crazy stories and learn from each other. I meet with this group once a month. I only went to one meeting after the girls were born last year, but I plan to get more involved now that the girls are older as well as it gives me a night out! I'd really like to see the group get more mom's there who are mom's of multiples because I think it's a great group to say the least.

Anyway, on Sunday, we took the kids to March Farms in Bethlehem, CT. Tyler got to hang out with his friend Hannah and met another little cutie Ella. It was a nice morning out for sure.

Sammi and Rylee - 11 months old

I can't believe how fast time is flying. I am so not good with updating my blog as often as I would like, but that is life.

We are always busy with the kids. There is never a dull moment for sure. Jaime and I cannot believe that the girls are almost a year old. It's funny, when we go to the doctors and see these tiny babies, we both say I can't remember the girls being that small. It just flies by.

Rylee FINALLY has ONE tooth, yes only one! LOL..She is finally starting to tolerate puffs as before she would gag and then vomit after! I was all set trying to get her to eat them if I had to clean up that stuff every time. Sammi still has NO teeth. Both of her bottom teeth are literally at the surface of her gums, but they just haven't decided to come through yet! However, she loves puffs as well as trying small bits of what we eat. We just can't wait for her teeth to come in because she will be so excited to really get to eat table food! LOL...

They still have total opposite personalities. We really enjoy watching them play and laugh with each other. It is so entertaining. They laugh at each other all the time especially when we put them in for nap. We hear them giggling at each other.

Tyler LOVES being a big brother, and his favorite time with them is as soon as he wakes up. He is usually upset if he is awake and the girls are not. He enjoys bringing them in his room to play with him and his toys. I can't wait for them to be older to watch them play together (granted I am sure there will be some fighting).

They are both starting to walk. Rylee takes a few steps, but Sammi is taking more and more each day. I wouldn't be surprised if she was fully walking by their 1st birthday.

Yes, I know...Here I am posting their 10 month picture, and these little girlies will be 11 months old on Monday the 19th! I mean, I ask myself all the time, where is the time going? Honestly, I cannot believe how fast these girls are growing! They are so funny! They have completely different personalities from each other, they both still have no teeth (although they are finally starting to break through), they love to laugh, fight, and play with each other, but I think most of all that melts my heart is how their faces light up when they see their big brother enter the room. It is so funny, they are pulling themselves up on everything, even Tyler when he is standing in the middle of the room. I think it's awesome!!

Tyler's 1st Day of Preschool

We can't believe it. Our baby boy started preschool! Where has the time gone? Tyler was super excited to start at his new "big boy" school. He is attending Blessed Sacrament and enjoying it very much. His first week was only two 1/2 days. He starts full time everyday come Monday! I admit, I sobbed like a baby walking back to my car. It wasn't because he was leaving me for the day. It was more like the first day I dropped him off at day-care when he was 11 weeks old. Here he is now, 3.5 years old and starting school! I mean, my baby is growing up so fast!!

Tyler you have filled mommy and daddy's life with such joy and happiness. We are so proud of you!!

Samantha and Rylee - 9 months old

I cannot believe our baby girls are growing so fast! I am so behind because here I am posting their 9 month photo, and just Friday they turned 10 months!!! I cannot keep up with life lately. It is so hectic being a family of 5, but I would not have it any other way!!! We took the girls for their check-up and they are doing great!

Here are their stats:

Sammi is 18.4lbs and 28.5 inches long
Ry is 17.4lbs and 28 inches long

They are both crawling around everywhere and sometimes pulling themselves up! They still have NO teeth, but their bottom two are trying to work their way through. Who knows when they will surface, but hopefully soon is all I can say!!!

We are in the process of planning their first birthday and christening! (Yes I know, they will be a year old when they are christened!!) We are very happy to announce that Steph and Michael (aka Chico to some of you) happily accepted to be the girls godparents. We couldn't be more honored!!

I am so behind on blogging, it is upsetting! Unfortunately, I had to improvise for their 8 month picture. Rest assured, these pictures were taken on the 19th of June when they actually turned 8 months old. Unfortunately, it is not easy to take a picture of them on their flowered blanket like all the rest. You will see this on their 9 month picture, if I decide to use that one! I may just make another picture like the one below! At any rate, the girls are growing so fast, it is insane! Sammi had been going for massage therapy on her head to help with the flattening, and boy was it a success! We only had to do 4 visits, and bam, the flattening was gone!

Last night we headed over to Jaime's parents' house to celebrate Mr. L's birthday. Tyler was excited that we were having a "party" for Puppa. He was looking forward to the presents and cake for sure! I can finally say that we successfully surprised Mr. L with his birthday present. He is one of those people that like to feel the gift and guess it before even opening it, thus ruining the surprise...Well, for ONCE he FINALLY couldn't figure it out. It was pretty great. I think he was very pleased and excited with his gift...a new laptop!

I cannot believe my baby girls are 7 months old. I mean really, where the heck has the time gone?? I have been so bad with blogging lately, and I feel like I will never catch up!

Some updates on the girls...
Both of them are rolling all over the place!
They enjoy eating!
They absolutely adore Tyler!
They are quite the chatter boxes!
Neither of them have any teeth yet!
Sammi has been going to massage therapy for the flattening of her head and it is working out beautifully!
Rylee has come out of her shell and has quite the personality!
They are complete opposites of each other - it amazes me!
I won't know their heights and weights until their 9 month appointments!

Mother's Day was nice and low key. We went for lunch with my parents first to Noble (Hibachi Restaurant), and it was delish! Tyler really enjoyed watching the guy cook, and he got a kick out of using "training" chopsticks. Afterward, we headed to Jaime's parents for a visit for a little while before we headed to my Gram's house to end the night. I am truly blessed with 3 beautiful children who make me the happiest mommy around!

WOW, I am SOOO behind in my postings! Easter was so much fun this year. Tyler absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED hunting for eggs. It was a long day, but we enjoyed every minute of it. We started off with an egg hunt at home for Tyler when he woke up and some goodies to open, then off to my Gram's house and we ended our evening at my in-law's house. Puppa put out a ton of eggs for Tyler to find. He was so excited that when it was over, he wanted to do it again! LOL...We hope everyone's Easter was just as fun as ours!!!

We celebrated Jaime's birthday on his actual birthday, April 17th. We just did something very small at the house which consisted of sandwiches, cake, and a few presents :)

I'm such a good wife...I surprised him with a paid trip to Vegas for him and I in August with no kids. Now, I am sure I am going to miss my kids terribly, but I thought we needed a break to hang out with just the two of us to reconnect on a grown up level with no kids!

Cannot believe the girls are 6 months old! Time sure does fly by. In just a few months, we will be planning their first birthday!!! Having twins is extremely hard, but it is so rewarding. I cannot wait until they all play with each other. Tyler does a very good job entertaining them, so I can only imagine what the years bring as they get older. He is a great big brother for sure!!!

They are both doing great. They got a couple of shots and were troopers for sure! We head back to the doctor in 3 months for their 9 month check-up! Be sure to check back!!

My baby is 3 years old!!!

Where does the time go? We cannot believe our baby is 3 years old!!! We just got back from his 3 year visit, and he is doing great! Tyler weighs 26 lbs and is 35 3/4 inches tall. He is still in the 5th percentile for his height and weight! He asked the doctor if she can do his arm like his doctor kit he has at home...It was funny...So, she checked his blood pressure for him :) While we were there, he said he had to use the potty and the nurse heard him, so she asked if could pee in a cup! It was a success, and he pee'd in the cup and thought it was funny. He is doing awesome with potty training. He won't poop on the potty (he has only gone three times since we started) but he pees on the potty all the time! He actually tells us when he has to go now. We are just about ready to move up to big boy underwear!! I can't believe he is growing up...In just a few months away, he will be starting preschool.

Can't believe it has been 5 months already. Our baby girls are getting so big. They are eating cereal now and starting on their fruits and veggies. They LOVE to eat. They love to laugh at their big brother, Tyler. They are always looking for him when they hear his voice. It's great! He can get them going for sure! They give the pure huge big belly laughs when he gets them going. Jaime and I enjoy watching him entertain them both.

We gave the girls cereal for the first time a few weeks back. They aren't a huge fan of rice cereal that is for sure. I must admit, I never had to teach Tyler how to feed off a spoon, so this is all NEW to me!!! They now are on oatmeal, and Rylee does fantastic and enjoys it. Sammi on the other hand, she is like a lizard with her tongue mushing it in and out of her mouth!! It is quite amusing I must say. Tyler enjoyed some yummy breakfast as well as we fed the peanuts.

I took a Friday off of work to take Tyler to the Jump Zone (aka bouncy house in Ty's words). We invited Megs, Colby, and Blake to come and join us. Chris also showed up to play with his boys for a few minutes! Blake wasn't so sure about the bounce houses at first, but he eventually got into them a bit :) However, he was obsessed with this tall one that had batman on it maybe, or some figure where he wanted to honk honk his nose! It was cute! The kids had a blast, so it was well worth the day off from work for sure!!!

I took a 6 week photography class, so I can learn how to work in manual mode with my new camera Jaime bought me for my 30th birthday last year. It was a great class, and I look forward to taking another. I had this project in my mind that I have been wanting to do, and finally one Saturday morning, the sun was shining, so I was able to get some sunlight in the girls' room to help with my photos. Unfortunately, I don't have any editing software, so the pictures are what they are, but I am definitely pleased with the outcome :D

YAY! I am finally into February posts, however, it is March 3rd! LOL...I only have a few posts for February, so I should be able to catch up in no time..Well, I say that now!

Anyway, Puppa came to get Tyler one day to give Jaime a break. Tyler always has a blast when he is with Puppa. So, it was off to Puppa's house where they played Play-Doh together. He then took Tyler for a visit to Ama's school and played with the kids and then back to Puppa's for a much needed nap on the computer room's floor :D

Play date with Hannah!

Tyler had made friends with Hannah at daycare, who no longer goes there as her mommy is now a stay at home mom for her and her twin brothers! Yes, she has twin brothers just like Ty has twin sisters :) We have kept in touch with them and have been trying to get together for a play date. Well, we finally did! Ty and I met up with Hannah and her mom, Allison at the Meriden Mall on a Saturday morning. They played in the play area there as well as went on all the rides together! Boy do they love each other and have fun together. They had a blast together for sure. When they were done playing, we went to the food court and had lunch with them. Tyler asks to see Hannah often, so we are trying to put together another play date.

January was a big month for the girls. We finally put them in their cribs! I must say, everything is so different with your second and third child! Tyler was in his crib at 3 weeks old. The girls were over 13 weeks old when we finally decided to put them in a crib. They started out in the same crib, but then Sammi got sick with a mild case of RSV, so we separated them and they have been in their own cribs since. I was sure to get pictures of them their first night in their crib though :)

I can't believe how behind I am on my blog. However, I am slowly making progress, as long as I continue to do a blog posting a day. January was a crazy month with all of the snow we got. I cannot remember ever seeing this much snow in my life, literally. We got hit really hard this year. We will probably have snow on the ground until May!!! Anyway, Jaime took some pictures of the mass amounts of snow we got hit with during one of the HUGE storms!

Casey, Kayla, and Stephen came home to CT for a visit early in January, and we were excited they were able to stop over for some yummy bagels and play for awhile. We wish they were able to stay longer, but it was a short trip home with lots to do for their Gram's 60th birthday! The Boutote family came over as well, so Casey was able to meet Zackari! It is always nice to get together and just catch up on things happening in our lives. It is crazy how our lives change when kids are involved. When we use to get together, it was for cards, games, and drinking...Now, we have kids running around, drinking coffee and tea, and eating bagels! LOL...I wouldn't change it for the world though...It's so much fun, and I must say Kayla and Stephen have grown up so much since we last saw them! We miss them tons and can't wait to see them again in August!!

New Year's Day

We headed over to Jaime's parents' house for New Year's Day. Tyler spent some quality time outside with Puppa throwing snowballs, going down his slide, wrestling with Puppa in the snow, and even making a snow man. Jaime was the photographer this day, and I must say, he got some great shots!!!!

My last post for 2010 (even though we are already in February 2011)! What can I say, it has been busy, so keeping up with the blog postings have been rough!

New Year's Eve was a great night! We all headed over to Joey and Anne's house for a delicious dinner...We played board games, and the kids just had a blast running around playing with each other. Tyler was pooped by the time the ball dropped...He fell asleep not to long before the ball dropped, but we got him up just in time to watch the ball drop!

2010 was a blessed year for us! Our baby girls arrived safely just 5 weeks before they were suppose to. Tyler grew so much, it amazes Jaime and I everyday! He is a wonderful big brother to his babies (as he calls them). 2010 could not have been better! We look forward to what 2011 brings us!

They have brought such joy and excitement into our lives. Granted, it is challenging managing 3 kids, work, a home, etc but a smile on their faces erases all of those challenges! They complete us!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

I am trying to play catch up, but it just doesn't seem like I will ever catch up. I will have to throw in the towel probably, but for now, I am not ready to! LOL...

We had a low key Christmas Eve with my parents and Jaime's parents. We had tons of pick-ons and desserts to feed an army, but that's how it always seems to work. You say let's only make a few things and before you know, we have a ton of food! It's all good though..Tyler was excited that Santa was coming. Before bed, we made sure we left out milk and cookies for Santa to eat. Tyler got a kick out of it especially in the morning when we went to see if Santa ate anything! We also have to wake up Tyler Christmas morning, so we can get our day going with opening gifts since we had a packed day ahead of us! We headed over to my parents' house and Jaime's parents' house for the rest of the day/night. It was very exhausting, but we had a lot of fun! We can't wait until next year when the girls are a little older. Christmas can only get better each year for sure!!!

Santa came to Terryville, CT

What a fun afternoon we had with the Fernet and Martinelli family. Terryville has a tradition every year where Santa makes a special stop at people's houses to bring the kids goodies. We weren't able to make it last year as I had my broken foot as well as a terrible ice storm hit! So, Jaime and I were looking forward to going this year. We were excited that Dana asked us to join in the fun and come hang out for some yummy munchies and delicious cookies! When we got there, the kids played for a bit, we then exchanged gifts with each other, and before you know it, the kids were looking out the window watching Santa walk down the driveway. It was definitely a nice afternoon. We really enjoyed it!

So, because I am behind in my posts, I was trying to catch up in order but that just didn't happen! Jaime and I can't believe that our baby girls are two months old. When we took them for their check-up, they did great. The doctor was very pleased with everything! Samantha was 11lbs 1oz and 23 inches long and Rylee was 10lbs 4oz and 22.5 inches long. They both got 2 shots and and an oral. They were definitely not happy about the shots, but once that sweet stuff was put into their mouths, they were quiet!

Christmas Eve Day with Puppa

Puppa asked if he could take Tyler for the day, which worked out perfect since we were having our parents over for Christmas Eve dinner. It gave me time to pick up the house a bit. Jaime went out for lunch with the boys that day, so it was just me and the girls hanging out. I gave them both baths and got things ready for the night. So, while I was busy doing stuff around the house, Jaime was enjoying wine and food, and Tyler was having a blast with Puppa! He went to the park and then back to Puppa's to play and nap for a bit before coming home!

The Boutote's Annual Christmas Party

Every year, Michael and Ericka hold their annual Christmas party. It is always a good time. Jaime and I were excited that we were able to go and enjoy ourselves for a few hours with no kids! It's not too often that we get to do that being that are lives have changed so much (for the better, of course!). Tyler spent the night at my parents' house and the girls hung out with Grandma and Puppa for a few hours. They had yummy appetizers, delicious desserts (especially my mini cheesecakes - lol), and always a great variety of booze!

Celebrating Christmas with family

I am so behind on my blog postings! I started this post on December 21st and just now finishing on January 5th!! Boy, is it time to play catch up :)

Every year we always celebrate Christmas early with my dad's side of the family...Our family has grown soo much over the years! It is such a fun time to get together with everyone and watch the kids open their gifts. This year we did things a little different. Because our family is so big, we decided to rent the hall at the Grand Oak Villa. What a great idea it was. The food was great, but the best part was we had no clean up to worry about! Also, we had enough room to move around. I can only imagine what it would have been like if we were stuffed in someone's house! I need to win the lottery, so I can buy a big house that has a huge great room so I can host Christmas or something! LOL...Anyway, it was a great day and the kids enjoyed themselves and all the presents they got. Oh, and let's not forget...We celebrated my brother's birthday also! He is an old fart now, so it's just another year! LOL..Love ya Joe!

Santa Train Ride

Friday night the whole family, and I mean the whole family (there was a total of 19 of us!) went on the Thomaston train for the Northern Lights Limited where Santa came on board to meet and greet the kids. They had a blast. Tyler was sooooo excited when he saw Santa come on the train. He kept calling for him, Sannnta...Sannnta...Well, Santa came over, and he wanted nothing to do with him! LOL...Anyway, all of the kids enjoyed it. It definitely is something we will continue to do!

Today we took the kids to see Santa at the good old Waterbury mall. Tyler was soooo excited to go and meet him. He even wore his Santa shirt he picked out himself! However, once we got to see Santa he was not having it. He was shy, nervous, scared...I am really not sure. He did say bye to him when we were done. He didn't cry which was good, but he wouldn't sit on his lap to get a picture done with his sisters. Needless to say, it ended up being a family photo!!

Letters from Santa....

Tyler was filled with such excitement when I told him he had mail today. He got even more excited when I read him the letter he got. Tyler received a letter personally from Santa Claus! He was jumping up and down while I was reading it. He was also excited when I told him that Sammi and Rylee got one too. He brought Sammi's letter over to show her since she was awake, but Ry bear was snoozing on daddy, so he didn't disturb her.

First Snowfall - 2010

Sunday night before Ty went to bed, we noticed it was flurrying out. So, Jaime brought him outside to look up at the street light, so he can see the little flurries. Tyler was so excited. Well, when I woke up on Monday morning, I saw that we had a decent amount of snow, and I could not wait to wake Tyler up to tell him! I cannot tell you the excitement I saw on his face when I told him there was snow outside. I opened the door and his face lit up like you wouldn't believe. He immediately said Daddy Daddy, come look come look, it snowing outside! He then said he needed to call Grandma, Puppa, Momma-nette and Poppy..He wanted to make sure everyone knew that it was snowing outside! Getting ready for Christmas

So, I am definitely way behind in posting some blog entries, therefore, I am going to combine this one post. What can I say, life with 3 kids and 2 of them being twins is hectic! I wouldn't change it for the world, but man, are we always busy! LOL..

Anyway, last week Jaime, Tyler, and Mr. L decorated the outside of our house with lights. It came out really nice. Later in the week, Jaime, Tyler, and I trimmed our tree. We had fun doing it for sure :) Christmas is so much fun this year with Tyler. He gets so excited when he sees lights on peoples houses when we are out at night, he knows Santa is going to come and bring him presents, etc! We are truly blessed this Christmas with 3 beautiful kids. What more can you ask for on Christmas!

We had the pleasure of having Melissa Surprise of Surprise Photography take the girls newborn photos as well as our family photo. She does amazing work, and I cannot say how grateful we are for the photos she took. She posted a sneak peek on facebook the day of the shoot, however, she wrote a lovely blog post on her blog and included some additional photos she took! I am sooooo in love with all of them, however, there are two that brings tears to my eyes: The one with Sammi's hand on Rylee's face and the one where Tyler is giving Sammi a kiss on her head.

One month check-up

Today we went as a family to take Samantha and Rylee for their one month check-up. They are doing great! Rylee weighs 8 pounds 1 ounce and is 21 inches long, and Samantha weighs 8 pounds and is 20 inches long. They both had to get a shot in their leg, and boy were they NOT happy. They screamed the loudest cry, it broke my heart. Big brother Tyler was there to soothe them back to happiness. He rubbed Rylee's belly and said it's OK baby girl. He is just a great big brother. He is always helping us with putting their bottles in the sink when they are done, throwing their diapers away in the diaper pail, and always giving them lots of love with his sweet kisses! They are now drinking 3.5 ounces, however, I will soon have to increase that to 4 ounces since all they want to do is eat! That is a good thing though. It amazes me that I was suppose to have them on November 18th, and yet here we are with them already a month old! Boy, it's just crazy!

Can you believe it?! I can't! A month has already come and gone, and my baby girls are now a month old. I am a few days behind in posting it, but things are just crazy with newborns and a toddler needless to say :D Sammi and Rylee have gotten so big since they were born. Everyday they seem to fill out more and more. I am anxious to see how much they weigh and how long they are now. We head off to the doctor's on Monday for their one month check-up, so check back to see how they are doing!

Our Baby Girls Are Here!

Boy, what a shock it was! All day Monday (the 18th), I was having contractions, but they had no pattern to them, so I didn't think anything of it. Tuesday (the 19th) around 4:30am, I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. I was having a few contractions in a row, but again, I didn't think anything of it because they felt the same way they had been feeling for awhile. I didn't wake Jaime up because I knew we had a doctor's appointment at 8:30am that day for our 35 week check-up. I definitely didn't feel great, but I have been feeling that way for awhile! We got to the doctor's office, and they did the normal checking my weight and blood pressure. They asked me if I was having any contractions, etc. I told them I was having some in the morning and cramping, but they had no pattern to them. All I can say is that it amazes me how quick things can change! My doctor checked me, and I was only 2cm dilated and my cervix was thinning, but he said it could mean nothing, but he wanted to do a stress test and check my contractions. Well, while on the monitor for 20 minutes, I was having them, but they didn't get picked up! I always feel like I am lying when I tell them how they feel...LOL..The nurse then realized, where she had the monitor wasn't in the right spot as to where I was having my contractions, so she moved it. Well, there it went, my contractions were now 4-5 minutes apart, which earned me a ticket to the hospital for further observation. While at the hospital, they gave me two bags of IV fluid in the matter of 20 minutes to see if they would stop my contractions because I could have just been dehydrated, but that fluid did nothing for me! My contractions were now 3-4 minutes apart. The nurse went and called my doctor, came back to my room at 11am and said you are having those babies at 12:30 today! It was about 12:45 when we walked down to the OR, and at 1:14pm, Samantha Mary was born weighing in at 5lbs 2.8oz and was 18 3/4 inches long, and Rylee Jean came at 1:16pm, just two minutes later, weighing in at 5lbs 8.8oz and was 18 inches long. It was truly amazing. Apparently, these little girls had plans to come into this world 5 weeks early! Sammi had no issues after birth, but my little Rylee was having breathing problems, so she needed an IV and a CPAP to help her breath. She took in too much fluid from the C-Section, so they needed to open the airway, so the fluid can be drained. She came off the CPAP at 10:30am that night, and her IV came out the following day. They were in the special care nursery until Thursday, when they were released to my room! We all came home on Friday, so we were excited to know that they didn't have to stay any longer. Tyler is a proud big brother, and he loves them a ton! He tells me when they are crying, and he kisses them, and he is always asking if they can play with him! We are all adjusting and trying to get into a routine. I know it will take awhile, but I look forward to some common ground.

So, I am a little behind in my posts, I know! I really work with some great people. They threw me a surprise baby shower at work for the twins, and boy was I ever surprised! I had no idea. They even made a theme for it. It was a book theme, so the girls got lots of cute books they can read as they grow! Thanks to everyone at work, it really meant a lot to me.

5 years ago today....

Five years ago today at this time, I was getting up and showered for the biggest day of my life. I was able to share the morning with my two bestest friends in the world, Casey and Ericka! Before you know it, all of my girls arrived at my parents' house waiting for the limo to pick us up from the hair salon place to bring us there to get all dolled up! The day had gone by nice and slow until we arrived at the reception hall, when it seemed the night flew by! It was an amazing day! We had awesome weather, our family and friends, and most of all each other! I just can't believe 5 years has gone by so quickly! We couldn't be happier. We have an amazing life with each other and our son, Tyler, who is our world! In weeks to come, we will welcome two precious little girls into our lives. We have grown so much together over the years, and I couldn't be happier. I am so in love with my life. Jaime, thank you for being an amazing husband and a wonderful father! I love you with all my heart!

Terryville Fair

We took Tyler to the Terryville Fair a couple weeks ago. Poppy and Momma-nette joined us, so he was excited. We started the morning out with breakfast at Jimmy's in Watertown, and then we made our way to the fair. He really enjoyed looking at the cows, bunnies, chickens, roosters, pigs, etc. He even fed the goats with mommy! I think every time he gave them food, he would give them one at a time and say here you go. It was too cute! He also enjoyed his very first ride on the Ferris Wheel with daddy and loved it! He also went on a few other rides and played some carnival games. Tyler and mommy even won a prize! By the time we got in the car, he was out! He was so tired from such a fun and exciting day.

I can't believe how far behind I am in blogging. I use to be so on top of it, but lately I just have been slacking! All of these events took place in August, and as you can see, we are now into September! I had a couple days off, so we took Tyler camping to the Pelletier's camp ground. We also took him to Maritime Aquarium and my mom joined us, and later that evening we went to Quassy with the whole family. Tyler enjoyed the whole week.

Friday morning, Jaime took Tyler over to the park to meet up with Doug, Casey, Kayla, Stephen, Lou and Joan. The Anctil Family is in CT!!

Wednesday night, the Anctil Family came over for a visit while they are home in CT. It has been way too long since we saw them, so it was so nice just to hang out. Tyler and Kayla had fun playing outside from golfing, to swinging, to getting very dirty! Stephen is getting so big too. He had fun playing with the kids and just enjoying Tyler's toys. Ericka and Michael came over too and hung out with us. We can't wait for Baby Boutote's arrival in October! The night ended with a bath with all three kids in it because they were just filthy! They had fun bathing together..Kayla even washed Tyler's back for him..Too cute! We wish they would just move back home, but for now, we will be happy with their visit home! LOL...

Fun morning at Rockwell Park

Jaime and I had planned to let Tyler run around through the sprinkler this morning at home because we knew it was going to be a very hot and humid day. I wanted to go to the Aquarium today or something, but I knew it was just going to be too hot of a day! Well, my father-in-law called us and asked if we wanted to take a ride to Bristol and take Tyler to the park they took him to when they had him for an overnight. I am so glad we did because it was a fun morning for Tyler. He enjoyed playing on the playground for a few minutes, but he was super excited once he got into his swimsuit to hit the many different sprinklers they had. Daddy and Puppa enjoyed themselves too..Mommy stood around and took the pics, but by the end of it, I was sweating, so I ran through a sprinkler twice with Tyler and he enjoyed that!

Rockwell Park, Bristol, CT

As you all know, Tyler had a sleep over at Grandma and Puppa's on Friday night, so Saturday morning after breakfast, they took Tyler to a really cool park in Bristol. It's only like 2 years old, and he loved it. They had a variety of sprinklers to go through as well as a jungle gym. He was a busy boy for sure, but he enjoyed every minute of it.

A trip to Black Rock

Tyler had a busy Friday night. Jaime and I headed out to dinner with some friends, so Puppa and Grandma took Tyler for the evening for a sleep over. They surprised him with a trip to Black Rock to go to the beach and play. Later that night, Aunt Mary and Uncle Ralph came for a visit, and Tyler enjoyed Uncle Ralph's company.

Swimming on a Monday Evening

My in-law's are house-sitting for Faith and John, and they have a lovely in-ground pool that is heated. I think the water was 89 degrees! I decided not to go swimming as I was enjoying taking pictures of the boys. My father-in-law, Johnny, Jaime, and Tyler went in the pool. I relaxed on the lounge chair, and my mother-in-law was watering their garden of vegetables :)

Tyler wasn't a huge fan of the big pool on vacation, but I think that was because there was a kiddie pool just for his size, so he was all about that. However, he eventually warmed up to the big pool on Monday night, and he started to jump into the water from the side of the pool with Puppa's help of course. It's just always a joy to watch him venture out and try new things. Jaime and I really enjoy that!

Vacation at the Cape

We headed to Cape Cod for a couple days with my parents, my brother, sister-in-law, and nephews. We were excited to take Tyler to the beach. He loved it! He played in the sand, went in the water, and he flew a kite. It was just a great time. We also hung around the hotel a ton because they had an indoor and outdoor pool. The indoor pool area also had a 6" kiddie pool, so Tyler was in heaven! We went to P-town for some shopping, and we did a lot of eating of course. We wanted to hit the flea market on the way home, but unfortunately, the day called for scattered thunderstorms, so we went to breakfast and headed home. It was definitely nice to get away for a couple days. We look forward to doing something else in August with Tyler. He seems to enjoy vacations :)

We took a ride down to Jimmies in West Haven with my parents today. Tyler absolutely loves the beach. He can't get enough of it. We are so excited to go on vacation in just over a week and take him to the beach to play and swim, etc. Tyler enjoyed feeding the seagulls today and throwing sea shells in the water. He even brought three shells home with him that he is proud of!

Memorial Day Weekend..

So, it was a busy weekend for us!

Friday night we went out to eat with my parents, my brother, Anne, and the boys to San Marino's. It was nice to get out of the house for a couple hours to have some yummy dinner. Saturday night, we got together with Steph, Nick, and the kids for some pizza and delicious chocolate cream pie that my cousin made. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures from that night, but we definitely had a nice time! Sunday we washed my truck and then headed to my Gram's house for a picnic. We stopped at Jaime's parents' house afterward. Then, Monday, we took Tyler to the Oakville Parade then headed down to Madison, CT to eat and stopped at the beach for a bit before our ride back home. A Day at the Park

I get so jealous when I see these pictures because Tyler and Daddy are having tons of fun together while I am stuck at work. It makes me happy that they keep busy while I am home. Yesterday, Daddy took Tyler to go get their haircuts, and then Tina, Chris, Uncle Al, JoJo, Gabby, and Puppa came over for a visit. They all went to the park together and then came back to the house for some yummy hamburgers and hot dogs. They had a fun day for sure, and boy was it beautiful out!

Feeding the goats

Yesterday afternoon, we took a ride with Jaime's parents to Southington to see these little goats this guy raises on his property. They were really cute, especially the baby goat. They definitely enjoyed Tyler. He was feeding them grass, hay straw, and even some flowers...They ate whatever he put in their mouths! He really enjoyed it. It was a nice afternoon for sure.

What an amazing Mother's Day!!

Today was a long day, but it was truly an amazing day! We started off with an early start and headed down to Essex, CT to Spend a Day Out with Thomas! Can I just say it was a great event? Tyler had a blast. He got to ride Percy shuttle to and from the event, and he got to ride Thomas of course too! They had carnival rides there, and he went on each one of them, including the kiddie roller coaster all by himself! I cannot believe how big he is getting! We ended our day there around noon, and we weren't even out of the parking lot and Ty was passed out! We got back into Waterbury and headed off to a yummy lunch with my parents, Jaime's parents, and brother. It was just a nice relaxing day that I got to spend with my family.

Carnival Night!

Yesterday, Jaime and I took Tyler to the carnival at St. Mary Magdalen School. We met up with Poppy, Momma-nette, Auntie Anne, Vinny, Michael, Daryl, Aunt Cindy, Uncle Al, Jo-Jo, and Gabby. Vinny and Michael were troopers and took Tyler on all the kiddie rides because I was a nervous mom that he was going to try and stand up. However, he was awesome! He enjoyed every ride he went on. After each ride was over, he asked for more. Needless to say, there was one ride that he went on 4 times! We really enjoyed the night. He had a great time. Afterward, we went for dinner at Friendly's with Auntie, Vinny, and Michael.

Sunday, we celebrated Jaime's 32nd birthday with a yummy dinner at his parents' house. My parents came over afterward for cake and coffee. It was a nice afternoon/night out. Tyler always has fun when he goes over Puppa and Amma's house. He also enjoys the desserts anywhere we go..

Tyler's Birthday Parties..

Yes, that's right, parties...That means 2 of them!!! We started off at Jump Zone with all the kids, and then it was off to Daveluy's later that night for a pizza party! The whole day turned out wonderful. Tyler had a blast and got tons of presents. Everyone is so generous, and Tyler just has so many people who love him! Thanks for sharing his special day with us!

Can you imagine 2 years has already come and gone?! We can't! Our little man turned 2 this past Wednesday. We had a little cook-out at our house and ended with some yummy ice cream cake that Tyler enjoyed very much! Puppa came over earlier that day, so daddy can go to his breakfast club with the guys, and he captured a few great pictures for me as always..

Today was also Tyler's 2 year check-up, and the doctor was pleased with how he is growing. His stats are, 21.2 lbs (5th percentile) and 34 in long (25th percentile). He had to get 2 shots today, and he was not a happy camper, but he did really well, and they gave him 2 Diego stickers...He was super pumped after that! We don't go back again until he is 3 years old!!

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a fun day for Tyler...

He was so excited when I said the Easter bunny left him presents...he was off!

We had a bath tub incident where his wash cloth went down the drain..here he is checking to see if he can find it with the flash light..Needless to say, he was super upset, and now when we get him out of the tub, he throws everything out right away so the drain doesn't take it!! Since Tyler was sick on Good Friday, we stayed home all day on Saturday and just relaxed and played outside. My poor little munchkin has been battling the nasty stomach bug, but we know there is a light at the end of the tunnel..He really enjoyed being outside and playing, so it was a nice quiet day with just the three of us : )

Coloring Easter Eggs

Friday night before Easter Sunday, we headed over to my parents' house to color eggs with my nephews. I think Tyler enjoyed himself, so that was a plus. Unfortunately, later that night at my mom's, Tyler ended up with some serious stomach bug (poor little dude). However, by Easter, he was back to his normal self : )

In March, Jaime and I took Tyler down to Georgia to visit the Anctils and Marinos. It was so nice to get the kids together and spend time together. We miss everyone so much. The kids had a blast playing with each other. Tyler did awesome on the plane, so we were grateful for that. We look forward to them coming home for a visit later this year, so hopefully we can hang together again soon!!

This weekend we celebrated with my cousin Chris as he married his best friend, Jamie. She is the sweetest person ever, and we are so happy that she is apart of our family. It sure was a fun night, and we really enjoyed being with everyone! Here are a few pictures from the day...

We are so excited for Ed and Tracey....Tracey was scheduled for a c-section on Friday, March 19th, however, Little Miss Giada decided to make an early appearance on Thursday night, March 18th at 9:23pm. She weighed in at 6lbs 3oz and is 19.5 in long..Jaime and I headed over to the hospital on Friday night to meet this little peanut, and my lord, is she a tiny little thing. She was such a good baby letting everyone hold her that night. We did not hear a peep out of her mouth...You know I brought my camera with me, so here are a couple pictures of the precious bundle of joy!

I cannot believe my nephew, Vinny, turned 8 years old this month. I remember when he was first born. The years have just flown by and he is just getting to be such a grown boy. This past weekend, Vinny celebrated with his friends and cousins at Thomaston Bowling Lanes. It was the first time we took Tyler to a bowling party, so he was super excited to bowl. He kept saying "I bowling" "I bowling"....It was very cute, and he definitely enjoyed it as well as his cupcake ;

So, daddy was home sick in bed today, therefore it was a mommy and Tyler day. We started our day and went to Target, then to Friendly's for lunch. It was then off to Veteran's Park, and then ended up over Momma-nette and Poppy's house for the remainder of the day...We sure did miss daddy, but Tyler and mommy enjoyed spending the day together!

Tyler has been enjoying his day with Ama and Puppa...He is having a "camp out" tonight over the house, and from the looks of some photos I received, he is having a blast! That makes me smile even though I miss him home : )

Yesterday morning, Erica and Keri welcomed to the world their son, Trevor William. He weighed in at 7.5lbs and is 19.5 in long. Mom and Trevor are doing great!

As soon as they are settled in at home, Jaime, Tyler, and I will make a visit to meet this handsome little man! So, hopefully I will have some pictures to share soon!!

Congratulations Erica, Keri, and Tavo!!!!! We can't wait to meet him : )

Andies Bounce Barn

This past weekend, we took Tyler to Andies Bounce Barn in Seymour. Steph, Nick, Dom, and Bel joined us on the fun, and boy did the kids have fun! I think we were there for over 2.5 hours!! Tyler had a blast. He didn't want to leave at first, but we eventually got him to leave without crying too!! We are thinking of having his 2nd birthday party here...There are a couple more places we want to check out first, but we can't wait to have his party somewhere fun for all the kids!!

A little behind....

So, I am a little behind in posting pictures because I am too lazy to download pictures to my computer! Anyway, a couple weeks ago, we had my brother, Anne, the boys over along with my parents for pizza...It was quite an eventful night as Tyler had a bath earlier that day...However, he was demanding yet another bath that night because he just can't get enough of them!! I know, it's crazy, but that is my son for you...Anyway, Uncle Joe tried being creative....

As you can see, the creativity did not last long. Before you knew it, all three boys were in the bath together having a blast!

It was a fun night for sure...Tyler loves playing with his cousins, Michael and Vinny. He can never get enough of them!

Tyler's 1st Hair Cut

Friday night we took Tyler to our hairdresser's house for his first hair-cut. We thought we were going to have a hard time with Tyler sitting still. To our surprise, he was awesome! There were a couple times while Liz was cutting his hair where he would say all done, all done. But, she kept cutting and he sat still the whole time. He really enjoyed it and was a good boy. Needless to say, she gave him a lollipop when he was done for being such a good boy.

Saturday, Tyler went to Monkey Business to celebrate his cousins JoJo and Gabby's 3rd birthday! I can't believe they are 3 already...Where does the time go?! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the party as I was celebrating with Tracey at her baby shower! However, between hubby and Grandpa Kodak, I was able to see how much Tyler enjoyed himself!
